Our work is really all about converting weekends, evenings, and community spaces into opportunities for learning, health awareness, and guidance. From its office in Kunte Nagar, Dharavi, the Nanowintech Federation regularly holds classes, workshops, and counselling sessions that are really needed as shared by the families with us. Every activity has been designed to be welcoming, practical, and meaningful for those who reside here.
It Describes Us
Nanowintech Federation is a private, nongovernmental organization based out of Mumbai, incorporated on 3rd October 2025, with a clear social orientation. With the clear social motivation and quick action by the directors Nancy Guruswamy and Jeevamani Peter Shanmugavel, the organization brings together trainers, teachers, and community members for social work, educational, and health awareness activities in and around the community of Dharavi. Working with grassroot-level organizations such as Chess and Robotics, we bring together their vast technical and teaching skills with their deep community knowledge.
Projects & Initiatives
- Education and Activities: We run weekend and after-school courses for kids and young adults in robotics programming, as well as chess. This exposes them to problem-solving, logical reasoning, creativity, and discipline, aside from providing an introductory experience into fields that the kids may have by no means entered before.
- Health Awareness Programmes: However Other social work activities that are carried out without any provision for accommodation include community health sessions such as, “Cancer Awareness & General Health Workshops are being organized in Dharavi, Mumbai. These sessions give families simple and clear information on how to prevent illnesses and how to check for early signs of problems and why regular check-ups and healthy practices are necessary.””
- Community Guidance and Outreach: Our activities, registrations, and planned events can be inquired by coming to our office in B-211, 2nd Floor, B Wing, Vivekanand CHS, Kunte Nagar, Dharavi. We assist parents in finding appropriate classes for their kids and refer them to partner NGOs like Chess Nest and DBots Robotics, if need be.
Impact & Success Stories
Community Transformation: Our activities have already begun to impact areas around Dharavi. The kids going to classes on Robotics, Coding, and Chess are gaining in both confidence and concentration and are taking their studies seriously, according to reports from parents and teacher-coaches. Many kids are trying to code projects on their own, exploring chess strategies on their own, and even discoursing on a career in tech for the first time.
Workshops on health have also empowered parents to recognize and realize critical areas like Cancer Risk, Lifestyle Diseases, and General Hygiene, giving them adequate early consults and adequate attention to their health and well-being.
